Important: Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or data. Follow the steps below to request deletion.

How to request deletion

Until an in‑app option is available, please send an email from the address linked to your account with the subject Account Deletion Request to:

Include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address used in Suuq S (required)
  • Your role (Customer / Vendor / Deliverer)
  • If you are a Vendor: your store name

We will confirm your identity and begin processing your request.

What will be deleted or anonymized

  • Account profile (name, email, phone)
  • Store/vendor profile and media you uploaded (images/videos), where feasible
  • Authentication/session tokens and notification tokens
  • Preferences/settings stored on our servers
  • Other personal data we control that is not subject to a legal retention requirement

What may be retained (legal or operational necessity)

To comply with laws and legitimate business needs, certain records may be retained for a limited period, including:

  • Orders, invoices, and transaction records
  • Fraud‑prevention and security logs
  • Vendor business/license records where laws require retention
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics that cannot identify you

We retain only what is legally necessary and for no longer than required by applicable law.

Timeline

  • Acknowledgement: within 7 days
  • Completion: typically within 30 days (complex cases or legal holds may take longer; we will notify you)

Verification & scope

  • We may request additional information to verify you are the account owner.
  • Deletion is irreversible and removes access to services and content.
  • Content appearing in other users’ orders/receipts may be retained as required, and if possible, dissociated from your identity.

Future in‑app option

When available, you’ll be able to request deletion in the app via Profile → Settings → Delete account. For now, please use the email method above.
